BVU Student Named Finalist in International Photo Contest

Buena Vista University (BVU) student Emily Kenny , a psychology and digital media double major from Schaller , has been named a finalist in the international "Shoot the Wild" photography contest.

"The contest is highly competitive and juried 'blind,' meaning no names are associated with the images submitted," said Dr. Andrea Frantz, professor of digital media at BVU.

Kenny's qualifying image depicts two lions devouring a zebra and was taken during a month-long environmental and wildlife South African trip she completed in August. All finalists are published in the 2017 Shoot the Wild book of photography.
