BVU Student Sarah Mackey to Join PayPal

Buena Vista University (BVU) student Sarah Mackey, a computer science and mathematics double major from Center Point, has accepted a position at PayPal in San Jose, Calif.

Mackey will join the digital payments platform company as a software engineer in the Recent College Graduate (RCG) Program - a rotational program that will allow her to participate on multiple teams in a wide range of areas during her first year of employment.

"As a freshman, I never would have thought that I would become a software engineer or that I would be starting my career in such a booming location within the tech industry," said Mackey. "So many things have fallen into place for me within my past three years at BVU, and I am so eager to begin this next chapter of my life."

Mackey attributes a great deal of her success to her BVU professors.

"My professors have not only helped me find incredible opportunities to take advantage of, but they have given me the confidence to pursue my passions and put myself out there," said Mackey. "I have grown tremendously as a scholar and a person, and I am beyond grateful that I have such an incredible university to miss once I leave after graduation in May."
