Jacob Braddock from Swea City Honored at Buena Vista Unversity

Jacob Braddock, a junior biology major from Swea City , was recently honored at Buena Vista University's student recognition event.

Braddock received the following recognition:

Braddock received an Academic Excellence Award as a second year student. This Academic Excellence Award is given to students on the Storm Lake campus whose cumulative GPA is 3.75 or greater, representing approximately the top 10% of each class. Braddock was also inducted into Alpha Chi, a national honor society recognizing scholarship in all disciplines, promoting academic achievement and encouraging its members to continue their lives as scholars. Membership is restricted to ten percent of the senior class having a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or greater and five percent of the junior class having a cumulative grade point average of 3.65 or greater. Lastly, Braddock was elected Vice President and Parliamentarian of the Student Senate by the student body to represent the student voice on campus committees, consider concerns of the student body and assign student organizations' financial allocations.
