Sarah Schlichte Accepted for Research Fellowship

Sarah Schlichte, a junior biology major from Templeton, was awarded a 10-week summer undergraduate research fellowship at the University of Iowa, along with a $3,750 stipend and housing provided in the University of Iowa dormitories.

Schlichte will be working in the Neuroscience Department with Dr. Hanna Stevens, who runs the Psychiatry and Neurobiological Development lab at University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Stevens uses animal models to understand the impact of prenatal stress, environmental exposures and genes on early childhood behavior and mental health.
