Skylar Finch to Perform in BVU Theatre's "Woman Wonder"

Buena Vista University (BVU) Theatre will present "Woman Wonder" Nov. 16-18 at 7 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium on the BVU campus.

Skylar Finch , a junior arts management and Spanish double major from Polk City , will be part of the cast.

The authors of "Woman Wonder" include: Dr. Bethany Larson, professor of theatre; Jamii Claiborne, associate professor of digital media; Dr. Annamaria Formichella-Elsden, professor of English and dean of the School of Communication & Arts; Dr. Andrea Frantz, professor of digital media; Dr. Calle Friesen, assistant professor of education; Dr. Wind Goodfriend, professor of experimental psychology and assistant dean of graduate studies; and Miranda Pollock, assistant professor of graphic design.

"Woman Wonder" was presented by the authors as a reading in December 2016, but this will mark its premier as a fully staged production.

Tickets for the play can be reserved online at www.bvu.edu/tickets after Nov. 6 or by calling the BVU Theatre Hotline at 712-749-2211. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and non-BVU students. They may be picked up outside Anderson Auditorium on the night of the performance. The play is written for mature audiences.

"Woman Wonder" explores what it is to be a woman in today's world. Through stories ranging from the beautiful to the tragic, the play affirms the resiliency of women.

Larson directs the production; David Walker, assistant professor of theatre and director of theatre productions, designs lights and scenery; and Austin Dean, a junior animation major from Dubuque, is the animations designer.
