On Oct. 9, 2018, 12 Buena Vista University (BVU) students were formally inducted into the Omega Pi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society in education. The event took place at BVU's Ottumwa site located on the Indian Hills Community College campus.

Buena Vista University (BVU) has officially reinstated Omega Pi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society in education. To mark the occasion, a formal initiation ceremony took place on April 5 on the BVU campus, where 28 education students were inducted into KDP membership.

Mariana Ramirez Villa, a senior history and English major from Schaller, was recently honored at Buena Vista University's (BVU) student recognition event.

Meghan Harmening, a junior business and accounting major from Marshall, Minnesota, was recently honored at Buena Vista University's (BVU) student recognition event.

Grace Bodey of Storm Lake was recently honored at Buena Vista University's (BVU) student recognition event. She is a recent graduate who majored in graphic design and visual communications and digital media.

Area students were recently honored at Buena Vista University's student recognition event. They were inducted into Alpha Chi, a national honor society which recognizes scholarship in all disciplines, promoting academic achievement and encouraging its members to continue their lives as scholars. Membership is restricted to ten percent of the senior class having a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and five percent of the junior class having a cumulative GPA of 3.65 or higher.
