On Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, Buena Vista University announced their 2014 Homecoming king and queen, Ian Grigsby, a senior mathematics major from Omaha, Nebraska, and Beth Weber, a senior biology major from Danbury. The coronation came after a week of Homecoming festivities on campus.

Three BVU students presented at the Midwest Service Leaders Conference on Oct. 24-25. Their presentation, "An Inside Look at Mentoring Description," focused on the BV Buddies program, the building of reciprocal relationships and its impact on mentors and mentees.

The Buena Vista University (BVU) theatre department is presenting William Inge's play, "Picnic" Nov. 5, 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Anderson Auditorium in the Siebens Forum on the campus of Buena Vista University. The following students are in the play:

Carolyn McDermott, Buena Vista University junior biology major from Lincoln, Nebraska, is one of only 30 U.S. students to be awarded an EPA undergraduate fellowship, which provides financial support for undergraduate study and an EPA facility internship.
