Dong Wang, a sophomore chemistry major from Nemaha, has been selected for the University of South Dakota's National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF-REU) program in materials chemistry for the summer of 2016.

Elizabeth Kim, a senior biology and Spanish major from Fairmont, Minn., was awarded a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduate Fellowship at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Nicole Boysen, a senior English and theatre major from Danbury, was accepted to the Master of Music program in vocal performance at the University of Delaware.

Buena Vista University (BVU) ROTC Cadet Brandy Fowler received the Governor's Cup ROTC Award for outstanding achievement from Iowa Governor Terry Branstad in a ceremony on April 7.

Buena Vista University student Morganne Haer, a junior chemistry major from Villisca, interned at TransAgra International, an abiotic microbial fermentation company that specializes in nutrition supplements for a wide variety of plants and animals. Her internship was funded by the BVU Stine Endowment.

Buena Vista University student Joseph Hindman, a senior biology major from Sioux City, completed a research internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) during the summer of 2015. His opportunity was funded by the BVU Stine Endowment.

Buena Vista University student Meagan Stuart, a senior environmental science major from Papillion, Neb., participated in an environmental conservation research trip to Guadalupe Island, with funding provided through the BVU Stine Endowment.
