Buena Vista University's (BVU) thirteenth annual Scholars Day was held Saturday, April 29. The event provided students from all disciplines an opportunity to present their best original research, academic posters, artistic creations and performances to their peers, professors and the public.

Buena Vista University (BVU) Theatre has announced the cast of its spring production of "The Hollow" by Agatha Christie, which will take place April 26-29 at 7:30 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium on the BVU campus.

Cristena Heschke, a Buena Vista University (BVU) junior elementary education major from Alta, was named a Newman Fellow in recognition of her exemplary volunteer service. She is one of 273 students nationally who were given the honor by the service organization Campus Compact, for which she was nominated directly by BVU President Fred Moore.

Ethan Wilson, a senior biology major from Spirit Lake, has been accepted into the University of Iowa College of Public Health's Department of Epidemiology Graduate program.

Dallas Heuton, a junior environmental science major from Albert City, was selected for a summer internship at the Black Hawk Wildlife Unit of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).

Olivia Tuel, a senior biology major from Clarence, received a summer research placement in the lab of Dr. Pamela Padilla, associate professor and graduate research advisor at the University of North Texas.

Katelyn Brinkerhoff, a junior environmental science major from Sioux City, has been selected as a summer naturalist intern with Woodbury County Conservation Board at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center.

Hanna Zinn, a senior political science major from Spencer, has accepted a summer internship with the Iowa Secretary of State's office in Des Moines.
